Quickie Update

Whew, life has gotten away with me. The twins are now four months old and the fattest, cutest little droolbugs I have ever seen! Things are starting to get into a predictable routine. They're napping around the same time every day, they're definitely going to bed around the same time, and I love that I can predict when they're going to be hungry or just need a pacifier before they start freaking out. The only tough thing is that they want lots of attention when they're awake and I so badly want to give it to them. However, sometimes I can't because Bug and Bean need my attention too. I really wish I could hold them as much as they want to be held and sit there and make ga-ga-goo-goo faces at them all day long, but unfortunately that isn't the case. Whenever I can, I make it a point to, though.

My big kids are doing awesome. They absolutely adore their little brothers and are constantly hugging and kissing them. Melts my heart! Bean has started talking talking a lot the past couple of weeks. The funniest thing she says? "Cub-bee. Hit me. 'Gain!" (Colby hit me again.) She says it to everything. She fell out of bed the other night (a short fall, onto pillows) and when I went to go see if she was okay, she groggily whined, "Cub-bee. Hit me. 'Gain!" Sorry baby, big brother was sound asleep on his bunk.

Bug has started saying the funniest things too. I absolutely looove his imagination and reasoning for things. For instance, at lunch the other day, he looked at me very seriously and said, "Mommy, how 'bout you sweep (sleep) on Daddy's side and you go to work and Daddy sweep on your side and he stay home?" Apparently to him, the place we sleep on the bed indicates what we'll be doing that day.

Turk and I are doing awesome-ly. We have started using the P90X workout videos and they kick our asses in such a good way. We're trying to lose weight since we're all done with this whole baby business. We need our bodies back!

In other cool news, my first published piece is now available for sale! Elements of the Soul is such a good read. Of course, I'm slightly biased to my own story, but I sat down to read through the whole book and couldn't put it down. It's so much fun reading short stories when you have little ones running around because you can get the satisfaction of a full plot line without having to devote a bunch of time to a huge book.

AND, more good news... the second installment of the Accentuate Anthology is due out later this month. I have two stories in Elements of Time that I'm pretty proud of. One is a super sappy girly story and the other isn't as much. I hope you'll purchase one and let me know what you think!

P.S. You can also order Elements of the Soul and Elements of Time through Amazon.com, but I highly suggest getting them direct from the publisher through the links above!
