Zing Toys: Not just for kids. {Giveaway!}

Earlier this summer, I was sent two Zing products to try out. Admittedly, it took me a while to test them out, but for good reason.

First, our weather in the Pacific Northwest has been suckier than sucky, so heading outside to shoot a slingshot and bow and arrow wasn’t an appealing idea.

Second, the Z-Shot Launcher and Z-Curve Bow require lots of room to fully experience, and we live on a postage stamp of property.

BUT…

On one miraculously sunny day, I brought the Z-Curve Bow and Z-Shot Launcher over to our friends’ ample-yarded house to give them a go. They were so much fun, the adults didn’t want to give them up. This ended up being a good thing, because our kids, ages 1.5 to 6 were not nearly old enough to understand how to use them (and the package had informed us as much, but I’m stubborn like that). Still, they enjoyed watching us.

The Z-Curve Bow comes with foam arrows that sail across the sky. It retails for $19.99.

The Z-Shot Launcher is a slingshot with a special notched foam ball that shoots up to 45 feet (see why we couldn’t do this in our yard?!). It retails for $9.99. Both toys can be found at retail stores such as Target, Fry’s, and many outdoor stores, too!

We had fun taking target practice at different places around the yard. And, when the kids weren’t looking, we launched the ammo at each other, too.

(NOTE: It says specifically in the instructions not to hit people with the arrows or the sling shot. So do as I say, not as I do. You’ve been warned.)

What I loved about the Z-Shot Launcher and Z-Curve Bow:

  • Being goofy with my kids
  • Pretending to be Robin Hood, like I’ve always wanted
  • Shooting a sling-shot, like I’ve always wanted
